MARÍA ISABEL AROSEMENA, LL.M.

*Actualmente la abogada Arosemena se encuentra con licencia mientras se desempeña como Directora Nacional de Derechos de Autor y Derechos Conexos del SENADI.

Our Competition Law Division Director received her Attorney degree from the Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo (UEES) in Guayaquil and her Master of Laws (LL.M.), with merits, from the University of Glasgow (Scotland), with a focus in International Competition Law, Policy and Intellectual Property.

Her dissertation included the study of franchise agreements and anti-competitive clauses. Her professional experience also includes work in customs law and corporate law. Furthermore, Ms. Arosemena’s engagement with civil society includes volunteering for the Cecilia Rivadeneira Foundation at the Solca hospital in the city of Guayaquil and at the children's hospital in the city of Glasgow.
